Joining the Coming Together Virginia Community
We know you want to make a positive impact on our community, right? Racial inequities are all around us and people of color face systemic barriers in education, housing, healthcare, employment, and in the criminal justice system.
When you join Coming Together Virginia, you are making a commitment to the vision of beloved community that Dr Martin Luther King talked about, a community in which everyone is cared for, absent of poverty, hunger, and hate. He believed that such a community was possible.
As a member of Coming Together Virginia, you become part of a our vision is of a racially healed world of thriving, equitable and just communities
There is no Membership Fee required to join Coming Together Virginia, but the ability for CT-VA to meet operating needs depends on the generous financial support of our members. We hope you will contribute financially!
By becoming a Member you will:
Connect to a community of like-minded people who envision, and are working to transform our world.
Receive the monthly CT-VA newsletter, and occasional updates on regional and national events and activities.
Connect with working groups focused on various issues or activities related to racial healing, or receive support to start a new Working Group.
Have access to a wealth of useful resources to support you in your work and journey toward racial justice and healing.
As stated above, there is no Membership Fee required to join Coming to the Table, but the funds needed for CT-VA to operate – the ability “to provide leadership, resources, and a supportive environment for all who wish to acknowledge and heal wounds from racism that is rooted in the United States’ history of slavery” – depend on the generous financial support of our members.
